How to Calculate GPA
Your Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of credit hours attempted.
The Formula
GPA = (Grade Value × Credits) ÷ Total Credits
Standard 4.0 Scale
- A / A+ = 4.0 points
- A- = 3.7 points
- B+ = 3.3 points
- B = 3.0 points
- C = 2.0 points
- D = 1.0 points
- F = 0.0 points
